Web portal development project
November 29, 2011 - New project win

Matrix International and Matrix Decisions have been commissioned to develop a web portal to support the delivery of a “patient safety university”, and a community of practice for the Partnership for Patients. The partnership is a national Medicare and Medicaid innovation driven vehicle to improve clinical practice.

College Measures
August 31, 2011 - New Online Tool

College Measures recently released a new online tool to accompany a report from the American Institutes of Research called “The High Cost of Low Graduation Rates.” The report details the salaries and tax revenues lost when a student drops out of college, thereby forgoing higher earnings potential. The report got press coverage in the US in publications ranging from the Huffington Post to the US News & World Report. The tool is available here.

Data Warehouse
August 31, 2011 - New Project

Matrix Decisions has been commissioned by the Ministry of Justice to develop a route map for the development of an offender level data warehouse and reporting solution to support commissioning, research and reduce costs.

Gates Foundation
August 10, 2011 - New Project

Matrix Decisions has been commissioned by College Measures, on behalf of the Gates Foundation to deliver an analytical application to assess the performance of two year colleges in the US. This is due to be launched in the Fall of 2011.

Charter
August 2, 2011 - New Project

Matrix Decisions has been commissioned by the global engineering company, Charter, to revitalise the database in the Health and Safety application which we have developed for them over the last three years. The reporting is now considerably more responsive than before and will help drive changes in Health and Safety practice.

College Measures
August 1, 2011 - New Project

Matrix Decisions has been commissioned to maintain and host the College Measures database and application for the College Measures joint venture, supported by the American Institutes for Research and Matrix Knowledge Group International. This is an annual contract which will ensure that this database, which draws information from numerous sources to assess performance of four and two year educational institutions in the US, is maintained in order to consistently deliver quality performance.

This case study provides an overview of the performance management software that Matrix developed on behalf of the UK’s National Offender Management System (NOMS). It describes some of the advantages of the system, such as faster turnaround of performance management reports, easier access to a wide range of performance data, an easy to use web interface for collecting performance data, and improved quality of the collected data.

Mental health MIS (Management Information System) application

Matrix Decisions has been commissioned by St Andrews Healthcare to increase the reporting capabilities of the mental health MIS application that has been implemented on their site. The project will also involve developing an extranet capability for NHS clients.

Matrix has launched a new application for all 142 prisons as an extension to the existing NOMS. This system provides all prisons, Directors of Offender Management, and Central Government with a secure, comprehensive integrated way to assess operational and corporate performance, through improving the speed and flexibility of reporting. The system also makes available a range of new data and information sources for the prison services and reduces costs.
