The Local Better Regulation Office (LBRO) commissioned Matrix and Kings College, London, to investigate the extent to which the current system of local regulation does not sufficiently deal with some threats to UK residents, businesses, and consumers.
A major finding from our in-depth study was that the current approach to preventing the importation of unsafe consumer goods into the UK leaves consumers and businesses exposed to unnecessary risks.
