The Coalition for Evidence Based Policy is a not for profit organisation whose site summarizes a select group of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that are well-designed and implemented; and have significant policy implications– because they show, for example, that (a) a social intervention has an important effect on life outcomes and, preferably, can be readily replicated at modest cost; or (b) a widely-used intervention has little or no effect.

The Cochrane Collaboration is an international not-for-profit and independent organization, dedicated to making up-to-date, accurate information about the effects of healthcare readily available worldwide. It produces and disseminates systematic reviews of healthcare interventions and promotes the search for evidence in the form of clinical trials and other studies of interventions.

Meta-analysis training materials developed by Alison O’Mara (now at Matrix Evidence), Prof. Herb Marsh, and Dr. Lars-Erik Malmberg at the SELF Research Centre, Department of Education, University of Oxford. Throughout 2008, the team conducted meta-analysis workshops and seminars funded through the ESRC Researcher Development Initiative. The full programme consisted of a one day introductory seminar, a three day intermediate workshop, and a one day advanced master class.

TED is a small nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design.
