Our Track Record

  • In 2007 Matrix Knowledge Group provided strategic and analytical support to establish Imperial NHS Trust (http://www.imperial.nhs.uk/index.htm), the first Academic Health Science Centre, and the largest Health Trust in the UK. This initiative brought together Imperial College, St Mary’s Hospital NHS Trust, and Hammersmith and Charing Cross NHS Trust in order to accelerate research into practice.
  • During 2008 Matrix Knowledge Group provided change management and analytical support to reorganise health services in a rural setting covering 1.5 million people. This change will drive improvements in quality, and reduce a 10% overspend.
  • In 2009 Matrix Knowledge Group was commissioned by the Department of Health in England to undertake economic analysis in order to identify the health promotion activities that should be invested in, in order to maximise health and well-being for 40 million people.
  • In 2008 Matrix Knowledge Group undertook a market analysis to create the investment case for a private mental health service provider to establish new facilities and services.
  • In 2007 Matrix Knowledge Group helped a health community reduce waiting times for all elective care by 50% for 500,000 people by re-engineering the elective care pathways, and providing a performance management system to monitor performance at key stages in the pathway.
  • In 2009 Matrix Knowledge Group has been commissioned by the Department of Health in the UK to establish the first challenge prize by UK government. This involves identifying and sizing the biggest health and social care challenges in the UK, along with creating the prize setting and evaluation process. This initiative will promote a culture of innovation and tackle some of the biggest health challenges in the UK.
  • In 2007 Matrix Knowledge Group was asked by the European Parliament (http://www.europarl.org/) to identify legal precedent, as well as indicate regulatory and legal remedies to improve access to cross border healthcare for European Community citizens. This covers 500 million people.
  • In 2009 Matrix Knowledge Group was asked to identify how to cost-effectively assess the performance of community services for 40 million people.
  • In 2009 Matrix was asked by Aetna (http://www.aetna.com/index.htm), a large US insurer, to design a web based performance management system for payer organizations, building on a variety of datasets.
  • Matrix staff have worked in many international health systems including China, Cyprus, Colombia, Romania, and France concerning a variety of challenges including the implementation of quality management systems, leadership development, and case management.
