Matrix Evidence’s economics team
The Matrix economics team delivers rigorous economic analysis and makes the results accessible to decision-makers. We combine the latest developments in economic theory and techniques with innovative thinking, knowledge of the public sector, and a focus on pragmatic, policy-oriented outcomes. We work across sectors, including health, social care, criminal justice, policing and security, local authorities, children’s services, education, employment, better regulation and sport and culture. Our work has tackled some of the most interesting and pressing policy questions of the day.

The role
We are looking for an experienced economist to develop our business in Europe. You will use your insight into European policy and institutions to win and deliver high quality economic analysis. You will come from either an economic consultancy or an academic background, and have experience of operating at a senior level:

• taking ownership of client relationships at a European level;
• leading projects and project teams;
• delivering impact assessments and/or health technology assessments; and
• identifying and maximising opportunities for work.

You must be prepared to travel regularly to Brussels and occassionaly throughout Europe.

The package

The reward package is competitive and will be commensurate with the level of expertise and experience you will bring. This will include: a competitive salary, 25 days holiday (pro rata) rising by one day for each year of employment up to a maximum of 30 days, non-contributory pension or cash alternatives, as well as flexible working options.
